Pharmacy robbed in North Fort Myers...

Submitted by admin on Thu, 2005-11-03 15:52.

Deputies are searching for a man who struck a pharmacy manager in the face and stole two bottles of Vicodin late Wednesday at a CVS Pharmacy in North Fort Myers.

The man walked to the pharmacy counter in the store at 4100 Hancock Bridge Parkway about 9:30 p.m. He demanded Oxycontin or morphine and put his hand inside his pocket, implying he had a weapon, deputies said.

The manager told him there was no Oxycontin, but he jumped over the counter, hit her in the face with his hand and snatched two bottles of Vicodin, arrest reports show. The man ran around the building. Investigators are reviewing security cameras that recorded the robbery.

The suspect is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing about 135 pounds in his 20s who was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with white lettering, cargo pants and a dark ball cap turned backwards.

Anyone with information about this crime can call (239) 477-1000 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS.
