OxyContin ring broken up...

Submitted by admin on Thu, 2005-11-03 13:52.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- A drug distribution ring that flooded Connecticut and the Boston area with OxyContin has been broken up.

Louis Gallicchio Senior and his two sons, Nicholas and Michael, entered the pleas yesterday in federal court in Newark, New Jersey. Also pleading guilty were Nicholas Gallicchio's girlfriend, Gabriella Amarilla, and Eric Love.

They admitted that they purchased the pills in the Newark area, and that Love and Amarilla transported them to Massachusetts and Connecticut to be sold to other drug dealers between April 2002 and November 2004.
