Five people -- including a father and his two sons -- have pleaded guilty to running an illegal drug selling operation involving the powerful painkiller.
Sixty-five-year-old Louis Gallicchio Senior and his two sons, 38-year-old Nicholas and 36-year-old Michael, entered the pleas yesterday in New Jersey federal court. Also pleading guilty were Nicholas Gallicchio's girlfriend, 27-year-old Gabriella Amarilla, and 25-year-old Eric Love.
They admitted that they purchased the pills in the Newark area, and that Love and Amarilla transported them to Connecticut and Massachusetts to be sold to other drug dealers between April 2002 and November 2004.
The drug conspiracy charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a $1 million fine.
