Couple allegedly sold prescription pills...

Submitted by admin on Fri, 2007-04-27 04:53.

"We ended up having one informant give us some very specific information," said police Lt. Brian Mullins.

After an investigation, police determined that Spisak and his wife had been selling drugs from their Norton Place house, which was also home to their 14-year-old child.

Spisak's wife, Susan, was arrested April 20 on similar charges for being aware of the drug sales and participating in them, Mullins said.

Police believe that John Spisak was central to the operation, though, often selling off his own medication that was prescribed to him for his medical conditions.

After applying for a search warrant, police conducted a search of Spisak's home on April 4 and found OxyContin, marijuana, Xanax, diazepam, Vicodin, a digital scale and packaging materials.

"We concluded that he possessed (the drugs) and he intended to sell them," Mullins said.

This is not the first time police have dealt with Spisak.

Spisak now faces charges of illegal sale of Vicodin, illegal sale of OxyContin, possession of OxyContin with intent to sell, possession of oxycodone with intent to sell, possession of Vicodin with intent to sell, possession of Xanax with intent to sell, possession of Xanax XR with intent to sell, possession of diazepam with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and risk of injury to a minor.

He was held on $75,000 bond and was arraigned at Bristol Superior Court on Thursday.
