Police arrest student for drug possession...

5:12 p.m., April 25, 2007--After a lengthy investigation, Newark Police arrested Jonathan M. Coe, a junior at the University from Ronkonkoma, N.Y., and charged him with several counts of drug possession and intent to deliver.

Police executed a search warrant at 720 Academy St. (the Kappa Sigma fraternity house), where he lived.

He was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver Schedule II narcotic (pills, Adderoll and Oxycontin), possession with intent to deliver Schedule IV narcotic (psilocybin-mushrooms), possession of a controlled substance within 300 feet of a park, maintaining a dwelling, drugs not in original container, possession of a Schedule II narcotic--oxycodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police seized 211.8 grams of marijuana, 12 grams of mushrooms, 25 various pills, U.S. currency and drug paraphernalia.
