Drug sweep nets six By: Kristen Garrett, Times Staff 04/19/2007 Email to a friend Printer-friendly Six people were arrested on drug charges, and warrants were issued for three more people after police swept portions of Beaver County on Wednesday and early Thursday.
Daniel Costo, 20, of 197 Holt Road, Raccoon Township. Police said on March 5, Costo sold cocaine to an undercover police officer in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Center Township. He was also charged with delivery of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia possession, and was released from the county jail after posting $10,000 bond.
Zachary Wright, 20, of 741 Ivy Lane, Aliquippa. Police said on Feb. 27, Wright sold $100 worth of oxycodone pills to a confidential informant. He was also charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and criminal conspiracy, and was released from the county jail after posting $20,000 bond.
David Cain, 20, last known address 151 Milne Drive, Apartment C16, Center Township. Police said on Jan. 15, Cain sold marijuana in his apartment to a confidential informant. He is also charged with possession with intent to deliver and drug paraphernalia possession. The county jail had no record of Cain on Thursday.
Seth Jenkins, 28, of 1335 Tyler St., Aliquippa. Police said Jenkins sold cocaine to a confidential informant on Dec. 13, 2005, at a bar on Tyler Street. He is also charged with possession with intent to deliver and drug paraphernalia possession, and was in the county jail Thursday afternoon on $5,000 bond.
Terrance Baldwin, 47, of 313 Cooper St., Aliquippa. Police said Baldwin delivered crack cocaine to a confidential informant on Feb. 20, 2006, in a parking lot. He is also charged with delivery of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia possession and was in the county jail Thursday afternoon on $25,000 bond.
Sheppard Pope, 39, of 3721 43rd St., Pulaski Township. Police said Pope delivered $350 worth of OxyContin to an undercover police officer Dec. 6 in the parking lot of the Beaver Valley Mall in Center Township. He is also charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, drug paraphernalia possession and driving under suspension, and was released from the county jail after posting $20,000 bond.
Deborah Wright, 52, also of 741 Ivy Lane, Aliquippa. Police said Wright is Zachary Wright's mother, and she drove him to the location where he sold the pills. Deborah Wright also sold $50 worth of oxycodone pills on Sept. 8 outside her home, police said. She is also charged with delivery of a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy.
Jason Pratchenko, 27, last known address 102 Highland Ave., Center Township. Police said on Aug. 10, they executed a search warrant and found 191 bags of heroin, with a street value of $3,500, in his bedroom. Police said they have not found Pratchenko, but think he is on Pittsburgh's South Side. He is also charged with possession with intent to deliver, drug paraphernalia possession and reckless endangerment.
