Deputies say drug store robber strikes again...

Submitted by admin on Mon, 2005-10-24 21:52.

Clearwater, Florida -- A man who robbed a Clearwater pharmacy last July is believed to be the same one who took drugs at knifepoint in another drug store in Dunedin Monday night, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reported.

In the most recent incident, detectives say the suspect entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 2175 Main Street in Dunedin around 11:20 p.m. Monday and threatened an employee with a knife. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of Oxycodone and Oxycontin before he calmly left the store. A civilian witness outside the store saw the suspect throw a large knife into what was described as a dark-color Toyota Camry and drive away.

The suspect was described as a 23-year-old white male, fair complexion, 5'10" tall, weighing approximately 160-170 lbs. with short straight strawberry-blond hair. He was clean-shaven and last seen wearing a brown and tan ball cap, a black t-shirt, and blue jeans. He was armed with a large kitchen knife with a black handle.

Detectives believe that the suspect in this robbery also committed a robbery on July 7, 2005 at the CVS Pharmacy located at 30387 U.S. Highway 19 North in Clearwater.
